Create Your Own Glitter Tattoo

Here at we offer a variety of different glitter tattoo kits as well as separately sold glitter packs and stencil sets.

The difference between one kit to another has to do with the choice of colors, size of glitter and which tattoo designs are included.

The great thing about glitter tattoo designs is that you can create your own at home.

You can create your own tattoo design stencil in a few easy steps.

All you'll need to create your tattoo design is one sheet of clear contact paper, one pair of scissors, one thin marker, and one X-Acto knife, which can be purchased at any craft store.

The first step is to decide the scale and style of your tattoo design. Then you cut your contact paper to that size, leaving margins at least a half-inch wide.

The second step is drawing your tattoo design on the contact paper with a dark marker before you cut anything. We recommend you start with a simple tattoo design to practice. You can then place the template over the area where the glitter tattoo will be applied and make sure you're happy with the size and tattoo design.

The third step should be done by an adult. You'll use an X-Acto knife to carefully cut out your tattoo design over a safe surface such as an old magazine. You'll want to take your time and try to get the cleanest lines possible so the design will come out clearly. Just remember, don't peel anything yet!

Once you have the tattoo design ready, follow the steps of your glitter tattoo kit to apply it.

To apply the tattoo design you created, you'll want to clean the skin area first. You can use any alcohol wipes or other skin cleaning wipes and then wait until the skin is completely dry.

You're then going to peal off the tattoo design stencil that you've just created and place it on the area that you've cleaned.

The third step in applying the glitter tattoo is applying the glue. All of the glue in our kits is hypo-allergenic and waterproof. You'll want to place a thin layer over your tattoo design. After the glue is applied, you'll want it to dry until it's clear before applying the glitter.

Once the glue is clear, take your smaller brush and use the glitter colors of your choice to dab onto the tattoo stencil.

After you've finished applying the glitter, use the larger brush to pat it down before brushing away the extra.

The final step is to peal off the tattoo stencil leaving behind your own glitter tattoo design that you created!

It's a great way to add to your kit and use it to it's full advantage. Creating your own glitter tattoo stencils is a fun activity for everyone!
